The diversity of wildlife and habitats in Maldon and Heybridge need our support!
This initiative is an umbrella project to encompass a variety of activities aimed at maintaining and enhancing the diversity of wildlife and habitats around Maldon and Heybridge.
A key objective is to spread awareness amongst our community of the species we have and steps we can take to help combat the challenges they are facing.
There are many reasons to care for nature. As well as protecting biodiversity, supporting valuable ecosystems and preventing the disappearance of precious species, sustaining natural environments is directly important for us humans as well. The restorative power of spending time in nature is becoming increasingly recognised as key to maintaining our mental health and in coping with the frenetic, and often scary, pace of modern life
