We have been given the duty to live in balance & harmony with each other and with all living things. We are thankful to Mother Earth for providing everything we need for life.
Now our minds are one.
For all of the waters of the world for nurturing life for all beings.
We honour and thank all the plant life we harvest for food, the grains, vegetables, beans and fruit from which ourselves and many living things draw strength. And for the herbs and for those who know how to use them as medicine to heal us.
We give thanks for the trees which provide shelter, shade, fruits and many other useful gifts. To the animals who walk about with us, and who have many things to teach us. And to the birds who greet the morning each day with their songs.
Now we turn to the sun which gives us light and warmth, and the moon and stars which light the nighttime sky.
Finally, we gather our minds to greet and thank all the enlightened teachers who have come to help us throughout the ages. When we forget how to live in harmony, they remind us of the way to live.
Now our minds are one.

The Dandelion Insurrection: Love and Revolution, Dandelion Trilogy #1, 2013 by Rivera Sun
A great fiction relating to democracy, insurrection, environmentalism and activism/revolution. Be kind, be connected, be unafraid. Somewhat over reaching prose in places, but kind of inevitable given the epic subject, and really a great and believable telling of what could be.

The Overstory by Richard Powers
A truly amazing story. Beautifully written and truly made me view the world differently. Compelling and awe inspiring. Wasn't sure what to make of the ending, but I think that's the point. There is no ending, only still and being and connecting and life.
